Hugo Race returns after collaborative albums with Steve Kilbey (Speed of the Stars, 'While Italy Dreamed'),

Michelangelo Russo ('100 Years'), and Gianni Maroccolo ('The Vigil,' winner of the prestigious Ciampi Special

Award) with I Made It All Up For You, an epic album with his Italian band Fatalists: existential songwriting

framed by the band's fusion of roots, electronica, Italian soundtracks and desert rock.

“The Fatalists recorded the basic tracks in the oating studio on Lake Puccini, an hour outside of Florence:

Giovanni Ferrario (Scisma, PJ Harvey) on guitars and synthesizer, Francesco Giampaoli (Sacri Cuori/

Brutture Moderne) on bass, and Diego Sapignoli (Sacri Cuori) on percussion. We then developed the songs

at Checco's Studio Al Mare. Jennifer Charles (lead singer of Elysian Fields) enriches this album

with the songs "I Collide" and "Broken Love," whose lyrics were written in collaboration with author

and designer Alannah Hill. Massimiliano Gallo joined me in Sicily to add his Calabrian violin to the mix.

My longtime traveling companion, Michelangelo Russo, enriched the songs with his ethereal electric

harmonica. A lot of joy, pain, and reection went into the making of this album, and I hope that shines

through. I made it all up for you...”
